Bobbi Plecas

Bobbi Plecas, Vice Chair

Bobbi Plecas was appointed Deputy Minister, Jobs, Economic Recovery and Innovation on November 26, 2020.

Previous to this role she was Deputy Minister, Intergovernmental Relations Secretariat, starting on January 29, 2019. In this capacity she advanced British Columbia’s interests with the federal government, other provinces and territories, US states and other foreign governments.

Bobbi was Deputy Minister of Climate Change in the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy from July 2017 to January 2019. In this role, Bobbi led the development of the cross-government CleanBC plan, aimed at reducing climate pollution through a transition to clean energy.

Bobbi has been a member of the provincial public service for more than 25 years and has held a variety of executive roles across government. She lives in the province’s capital city, Victoria, with her husband and two daughters.
