More than 25 senior executives from B.C. forest companies and associations participated in a trade mission to China and Japan from November 24–December 3, 2016. Trade missions help raise awareness about B.C.’s innovative building products and systems, and position B.C. as a leader in new areas such as taller and larger wood buildings. As part of the mission, delegates participated in the second annual Sino-Canada Wood Conference in Shanghai and made additional stops in Beijing, Nanjing, Natori City and Tokyo.

As part of the mission, delegates participated in a roundtable discussion on China-Canada cooperation around combating illegal logging.
