    FII has an exciting one year employment opportunity for an administrative professional to provide a variety of administrative and communication programs support in our Vancouver office. We are looking for a high energy individual with excellent office and interpersonal communication skills who understands the importance of being a team player offering integral support to the team.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills, a great customer service attitude, along with crackerjack computer skills to complete various desktop design projects. Experience with a central file management system would be a very helpful asset. Ability to multi-task, great organizational and time management skills and a commitment to a collaborative team approach are required.

  • Environmental Policy Advisor – Shanghai, China

    Recent changes to government policy in China designed to address China’s concern over greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, life-cycle assessment and the need to advance green and energy efficient building practices has opened up a career opportunity in FII’s offices in Shanghai.  We are pleased to offer a two year (renewable) employment contract opportunity in Shanghai, China for an environmental expert to provide quantitative and analytical data to validate wood construction opportunities that support climate change policies and investment decisions in China.

    We are looking for someone with a Master’s degree or PhD in an environmental or science field with five to seven years’ experience in research and/or an environmental policy related position to support our business development team in China.  The ideal candidate will have experience working in energy/carbon management and research as it relates to carbon sequestration analysis and life-cycle assessment.  Previous experience in developing and delivering statistical analyses that support climate change policies and investment decisions is preferred.  Understanding of wood frame construction and Canadian building practices would be an asset.
